yucky tummy....

Okay, so the hip shaking video wasn't working so I'll tell a story. Yesterday my sweet little angel named Brady apparantly was sneaking some candy that I didn't "know" about....he must of had quite a few when I wasn't looking. Well I had my 6 month old nephew yesterday all day and when it was time to take him home I thought "ya know, I'm tired...I'm going to run thru Starbucks." Brady asked if he could have some apple juice there...I said "sure". Well the juice must of "topped" him off with the sugar high. All the way home he complained about how his tummy was "yucky"...."mommy, my tummy is so yucky" he would say. By the time we got home, he was quite emotional about it so I picked him up to hug him and tell him he's fine. At that "perfect" moment....his yucky tummy was ALL OVER ME! Not kidding...my clothes, my hands, my feet, my HAIR. YUCKY is right! I just shreaked....until I looked at Lance's face and we started cracking up. He was holding Harper who was trying to figure out what all the fuss was. Anyways...long story short...he confessed that he was eating too much sugar! Distracted mom or mischevious boy (is that how you spell it?)? At least we all have a sense of humor. What was the funniest was when we were tucking him into bed and I told him next time don't throw up on mom and he replied chuckling " yeah, next time I might throw up on dad! "

indescribable heartache for a mommy...

Recently I came across a blog that has totally captivated me. It's absolutely heartbreaking....about a baby girl named Copeland. Her mom had started a blog when she was pregnant and found out her baby girl had Edwards syndrome. Her writing is absolutely amazing as she shares and pours out her raw emotions of losing her baby girl when she was only 8 days old. I stayed up one night late reading every journal entry and bawled my eyes out. My heart aches for this mommy and I hope others like you can pray for her and her family as well. It has impacted my life greatly after reading her story about baby Copeland. If you are interested...I added her link under my "friendly bloggers". She is grieving so much right now and needs prayers!

East to West by Casting Crowns

So I was driving to work this morning and this song came on the radio....I had heard of it recently but had never actually sat and listened to the words, I don't know why, maybe it's because I can never "hear" them cuz I have a 3 yr old in the back seat talking or should I say shouting about something and a 6 month old who complains the whole time she is in the truck for some reason. Well...I enjoy wednesdays a.m. after I drop them off with grandma and head to work because I can actually hear the radio and music I love to listen to! I really enjoy music, and God has spoke to me alot thru music over the years. It made me think back to where GOD found me, and when I first actually "grasped" the truth that had surrounded me for so long. But it's not about me holding on to God, but more GOD is the one that is holding on to ME...there's great peace and confidence in that! One of my fav books in the Bible is John...because of this great truth. Anyways...I could go on and on but I don't want to give a sermon...:) just pause my project playlist of songs (the pink thing playing music on the right side of my blog) and push play and just listen to this song! (the video is pretty cool too.) I love it....:)

Rough day for some....

Brady had to go to the doctor the other day for a quick anemia test...they pricked his finger to get some blood samples. While we were there I thought "hey, I should get the flu shot for him too while we are here." Much to my surprise he flipped out screaming like you wouldn't believe....I think the entire office heard him! He didn't say a word all the way home, then when we got home he sat on this chair and literally frowned and didn't say anything for almost a half an hour! Of course I thought it was quite funny so I had to take pictures...he didn't even crack a smile! Afterwards he finally spoke up and said "why did you make them give me a shot?" I realized then that he thought I was doing it to "punish" him!!!! Life is rough isn't it? For it's the pain in life that makes you stronger. :) Don't you wish somedays your biggest worry was getting a shot?!
