homeschooling preschool?

I was on week 2 of school w/ Brady. I'm not a real organized gal, but I'm trying. I was working on the letter "B" with him, teaching him how to write. He recognizes all his letters and numbers...but I was going to "write" them. But he informed me that he already knows all this "stuff"...and apparantly he does. He can write and I didn't even know it. Now what? :)

have him keep practicing writing his letter and numbers...then
start teaching him (or reinforcing if he already knows) what sound each consonant makes. vowels are too tricky right now, just stick with consonants first.
for numbers, teach him what number correlates with a group...for ex: make sure he knows that "2" matches with a group of 2 of something. lay out 2 pretzels and have him write what number represents the group of pretzels.
also, it looks like brady is experimenting with lower and uppercase letters. you can teach him the difference by working first on only the capitals and once he has mastered them teach him that each momma letter has a baby that goes with it.
have fun!!
love ya...i'm hoping to come in to see you soon. things are starting to nest in this crazy hair of mine!
